Special Commissions
Long Dog can undertake special commissions. Here you will be provided with a unique, one-off design which will never be repeated. But be warned, this service is not cheap! Working on such designs can take many days and, as a result, our charges for this service reflect the time and skill which must go into such commissions. The original design will be exclusively yours and will not be reproduced for other clients. We will retain a master copy should you run into difficulties and for possible promotional purposes. We believe such completed designs will grow in value over the years making the work a valuable heir-loom to pass on to future generations. Shown below are three examples - the first used a variety of reference material, including photographs, to complete the work. However the design was constructed without recourse to photo-conversion. The second design, created to celebrate a marriage, was based on a verbal briefing. The third - a tapestry cover for a needlework box - was designed and stitched by Julia Line and shows the badge of the now long disbanded Seaforth Highlanders, the Scottish regiment to which her paternal grandfather belonged.
